Inclusion is at the forefront of everything we do at the CLC Network, whether it happens in our network schools, in the community, or in churches throughout the country.

The Educational Services arm of CLC collaborates with faith-based schools to provide special education services to students who learn in unique ways. In addition to providing direct service to schools in the Midwest USA, the CLC Network provides special education consultation services to schools throughout the USA.

CLC Psychological Services provide evaluations of students experiencing adjustment difficulties, including those who live with specific disabilities. Individualized academic programs are then devised which involve consultation, staff training and professional resources to students, families and CLC Network schools.

In addition to educational services provided to students, the CLC Network is a Professional Development Provider for the Schools Attuned Program © , a professional development program of the non-profit institute of All Kinds of Minds © . Schools Attuned training is available through the CLC Network annually.

CLC Network Adult Services complement the educational work of CLC by providing life support to individuals who are finished with typical K – 12 education programs. Each CLC program has the goal of including individuals who have disabilities within the community. The new Ready for Life Academy is an inclusive academy for college-aged adults experiencing differences and disabilities. Partnering with area colleges, the academy enrollees share space and experiences with students enrolled in the college. Employment services, recreation and leisure services, parent education seminars, investigation into inclusive housing options, and church-based support teams are also available services through CLC.

Our new Church Consultation Services help churches fully include individuals who have disabilities within their congregation. Providing training in the areas of disability awareness and inclusion in the life of faith, CLC helps churches better understand and include each individual in all areas of church life. CLC offers training on specific disability areas, such as Autism and Down syndrome, as well as training in specialized spiritual education practices and programs.

CLC has grown from serving twenty students with developmental disabilities in 1979 to annually serving thousands of students and adults who have disabilities, and those who love and care for them. There are many ways to support the important and growing work of the CLC Network. Please consider ways to support this work by following the link called Giving Opportunities under Development.
