PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING CHURCHES TO BUILD AN INCLUSIVE AND INTERDEPENDENT FAITH COMMUNITY
The core purpose of the CLC Network Church Services Division is three-fold:
1) To equip churches to include persons with disabilities in the worship, fellowship, educational, and service/outreach ministries of the congregation or parish.
2) To invite church members to see all God’s people through a lens of ability—not disability—acknowledging that each one is capable of robust, engaged participation in church life.
3) To enable churches to re-imagine disability in order to uncover how misunderstanding and injustice affect the lives of members who live with disabilities and to join with those members in removing barriers that are institutionalized in the church and in society.
